It was not easy for Snow to leave her family and friends behind in Beijing almost 10 years ago to study fashion design in New York. However, Gao made an instant impact in the fashion industry after she graduated from Parsons receiving her MFA in Fashion Design. At the 2016 Global Citizen Festival which took place in Central Park, Rihanna can be seen wearing a pinstripe blazer which was a part of Snow's graduate collection.
The emerging designer considers this one of her proudest accomplishments to date because she is also a huge fan of Rihanna and listens to her music frequently. Snow realized shortly after this that her calling card was here in New York as she fell in love with the city as well as the fast-paced and diverse culture.
